CHP mayor suffers heart attack

CHP member Nurettin Akbuğa, who has been serving as the mayor of the Tuzlukçu district of Konya since 2014, was taken to the hospital after falling ill yesterday evening.

Examinations revealed that Akbuğa had suffered a heart attack. According to a report by Sözcü, after receiving initial treatment, Akbuğa was transferred from Akşehir Park Hayat Hospital to Park Hayat Hospital in Afyonkarahisar, where he underwent an angioplasty. Officials stated that the mayor's health condition is stable.

“Following our Mayor Akbuğa falling ill this evening, he was urgently transferred to Afyon Park Hayat Hospital after receiving initial intervention at Akşehir Park Hayat Hospital.
