Şerafettin Bahadır, a substitute member of the CHP Pınarbaşı Municipal Council who was seriously injured following a beating and armed attack by MHP members in the Pınarbaşı district of Kayseri on June 21, will undergo surgery today for the gunshot wounds in his legs.
According to the report by Kadir Devir from Ayandon, Şerafettin Bahadır, a substitute member of the CHP Pınarbaşı Municipal Council who was beaten and shot in the legs by the brother and nephew of MHP Pınarbaşı Mayoral Candidate Menduh Uzunluoğlu on the evening of June 21 in the Pınarbaşı district of Kayseri, continues to receive treatment in intensive care. Bahadır, who suffered a brain hemorrhage and was intubated, will undergo surgery on his legs today.
'STILL SEDATED'
Making a statement on the matter, CHP Kayseri Provincial Chair Feyzullah Keskin said the following:
"Our brother Şerafettin Bahadır, who was attacked and brutally beaten in front of his daughter's eyes in Pınarbaşı and subsequently shot and taken to the hospital, is still being kept sedated and continues to receive treatment while intubated on a ventilator. His life remains at risk. He will undergo an operation today regarding the injury to his leg, but as I said, it appears his sedation will continue for some time. Our prayers are with him; we hope he clings to life as soon as possible and does not leave his loved ones behind."
