Message from CHP's Muharrem İnce: 'We are having a collective breakdown as a country': I say this as a physics teacher
CHP deputy Muharrem İnce, who is also an educator himself, made references to the state of collective breakdown our country is in through a statement on his social media account.

Highlighting how much the mental health of citizens has deteriorated with the figures he provided, İnce stated that a government that remains inadequate in intervening in the problems experienced and producing solutions cannot be of any benefit to the country.
The post by İnce, who used the phrase "I say this as a physics teacher," is as follows:
"Are you aware?
We are having a collective breakdown as a country. In the last 10 days, 4 people have committed suicide by jumping onto the tracks at Marmaray. We are constantly receiving news of suicides from the police and gendarmerie. The amount of antidepressant usage by our people has doubled in the last 10 years. Our prisons have reached an occupancy rate of 140%. Finally, the armed attacks in schools that we have never seen before...
How did this country get to this state? A series of errors such as mistakes made in education, the hopelessness into which young people are cast, the complete loss of faith in justice, our people struggling with economic difficulties looking for easy ways out, the glorification of the underworld in TV series, and the normalization of violent scenes, combined with the absence of a political will to solve these, are causing us to experience a social crisis.
Unfortunately, the government cannot solve any problems; in this regime where incompetent cadres, who are incapable of developing approaches to solve issues from the root and cannot go beyond taking reactive small steps in the face of events, cannot make decisions without receiving instructions from above, our problems are only multiplying.
Our economy is bad, our traffic is bad, our education is bad, our nutrition is bad, our security is bad, we have no justice... but they are bragging about doing super jobs in foreign policy and the defense industry. I say this as a physics teacher: if the parts of a system do not work well, the whole does not work either and eventually falls apart. It is impossible for a government that is incompetent in problems we can see with our eyes and measure to be successful in areas that cannot be measured or seen."
