In the incident that took place in the Yenişehir district of Mersin, an argument broke out on the evening of March 22 at a table where Mezitli Mayor Ahmet Serkan Tuncer was sitting in a restaurant. The tension, which initially continued verbally, escalated when Mayor Tuncer's bodyguard became involved in the incident and quickly turned into a physical fight.
Mayor Tuncer, who fell to the ground during the scuffle, was targeted with kicks and punches by those present. The attack was recorded second by second by the security cameras in the restaurant.
