CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz posts: 'Center for Combating Disinformation has confirmed our claims': He addresses the gaps in their statement

CHP Deputy Chairman and Zonguldak MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz had shared information that Turkey was penalized by the International Court of Arbitration for allegedly transporting oil from Ceyhan without the permission of the Iraqi Central Government. Following this post, a statement was issued by the Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM). In a new post, Yavuzyılmaz stated that his claims were confirmed and addressed the gaps in the DMM's statement.

Sharing documents regarding the Arbitration Court's decision on his social media account, Yavuzyılmaz had stated, "I am sharing the documents that will lead to President Erdoğan being tried before the Supreme Council!"

Following the significant impact of Yavuzyılmaz's post, the Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) responded to Yavuzyılmaz's claims, stating that the allegations that "a 50-year agreement was canceled with a single signature of the President" and "no explanation was made to Parliament" did not reflect the truth. The statement also included the remark that "there is not yet a finalized compensation decision."

NEW POST FROM DENİZ YAVUZYILMAZ

Following this statement by the DMM, CHP's Yavuzyılmaz made a new post and said that the center's denial was actually a statement that confirmed his documents.

In his post, Yavuzyılmaz shared a new text that addressed the gaps in the statement made by the Center for Combating Disinformation.

Yavuzyılmaz made the following post:

"If anyone can do it, the AK Party can!

With the statement it made today, the Center for Combating Disinformation has confirmed our documented claims.

Regarding the irregularities in the Turkey-Iraq crude oil pipeline;

It has admitted that the International Court of Arbitration has sentenced Turkey to pay 1 Billion 471 Million Dollars in compensation to Iraq.

Furthermore, there are gaps in the long and panicked statement made during the day

1) A single man publishing in the Official Gazette overnight that a 50-year international agreement has been exited with a single signature is not a public statement. It is a procedural act.

Explaining to the public why the agreement was exited is what is called a public statement.

2) I said, "Let the President and the incompetent AK Party administrators who caused this penalty pay this fine from their own assets."

It is correct. What was I supposed to say? Should the poor citizen pay it?

3) I said that we reached not a secret document, but a "hidden file."

If you are not hiding it, share the 277-page Final Award of the International Court of Arbitration on the Ministry of Energy's website so everyone can see it.

4) I have already revealed with documents who or which parties are sowing seeds of discord between Turkey and Iraq.

5) The AK Party has been trying to cover up this issue for more than 2 years.

However, it was the Partisan President himself who brought the issue to the agenda by announcing on July 21, 2025, that he had terminated the agreement between the two countries.

6) Let me also share in detail who was found to be right and who was found to be wrong according to the Arbitration Award

The amount of compensation the court ordered Turkey to pay, finding Iraq to be in the right: 1,997,976,023 Dollars

The amount of compensation the court ordered Iraq to pay, finding Turkey to be in the right: 526,585,537 Dollars

Result: The net compensation amount Turkey is ordered to pay to Iraq: 1,471,390,486 Dollars

At the current exchange rate: 60 Billion Turkish Liras!
