Tanal shared a photo taken at the hospital, in which his eye is seen bandaged, on social media with the following statement:
"In a state governed by the rule of law, security forces only execute court orders. Here, despite the absence of any court order, the occupation of the party building, the violence inflicted upon people inside, and the usurpation of the rights of members of parliament and members is a constitutional crime.
I am the one paying the price for this lawlessness, currently receiving treatment in the hospital. My eye is injured, and my body is covered in bruises. However, it must be known that no matter what price we pay, we will never give up defending the Republican People's Party, which is Atatürk's legacy, and our Republic.
What was done to me today could be done to the entire opposition and every free citizen tomorrow. Therefore, my call is clear: Everyone must raise their voice for the rule of law, the honor of democracy, and the will of the citizens!"
