CHP Gaziantep Provincial Chair Vakkas Acar stated that the CHP Gaziantep Provincial Headquarters building was forcibly entered during the night when they had paused their Democracy Watch—which they have been maintaining following the absolute nullity decision regarding the CHP—due to the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS).

Sharing a post on his social media account and releasing a video, Acar alleged that the provincial headquarters building was entered during the night by individuals he described as the "nullity team."

Acar argued that they had paused the Democracy Watch as of 23:00 on Friday to ensure that students taking the university exam and their families would not be negatively affected, and that the incident occurred approximately half an hour later.

Acar used the following expressions in his statement:

"Today at 23:00, we paused the Democracy Watch due to the YKS exam our children will take tomorrow. We wanted our children to participate in this exam, for which they have worked and prepared for years, with peace of mind and without any stress. However, we did not calculate that this 'nullity' team, which has become so blinded, and its extensions here would break the doors of our father's house, the founding party of this country, at 23:30 at night. We did not think they could be this heartless.

According to the information we have received at this moment, the Republican People's Party Gaziantep Provincial Headquarters was entered at around 23:30 by smashing the doors and shutters.

We will give the necessary response to this injustice and this heartlessness tomorrow at 14:00 at Maarif Square in front of our provincial building, after our children's exam is over. We invite all democrats of this city who believe in democracy to Maarif Square tomorrow at 14:00."

CALL TO CITIZENS

In his social media post, Acar also alleged that the CHP Gaziantep Provincial Headquarters building was entered at around 23:30 by smashing the doors. Acar invited citizens who believe in democracy to attend the gathering to be held at Maarif Square, located in front of the provincial building.
