CHP Deputy Chairman and Istanbul MP Özgür Karabat reacted to the blocking of access to the news site medyaradar.com. In a statement on his social media account, Karabat stated that the government's operations against opposition media have reached a new stage.

Stating that medyaradar.com was shut down by the Istanbul 3rd Criminal Court of Peace upon the application of a media group close to the government, Karabat pointed out that the ban continues even though the news article that served as the basis for the shutdown has been removed from publication.

Karabat emphasized that they stand with the Medyaradar site and its employees, saying, "Our nation is well-acquainted with these operations that aim to seize independent and impartial media!"

CHP's Karabat called on the government to abandon the pressures on independent media, stating that they defend media freedom.
