Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel shared a preliminary expert report regarding the fire tragedy at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu, where 78 citizens lost their lives.
In his post, Özel stated: “I am receiving reports that pressure is being put on the 7-person committee and public officials who prepared this preliminary report—which does not mention our Bolu Municipality, identifies that the fire started on the 4th floor of the hotel, and lists the responsible parties and those at fault one by one—that the report is not being accepted, and that the expert committee is even being threatened with dismissal.” he said.

YILMAZ TUNÇ: PIRATED TEXT
A response to Özel came from Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç. Labeling the preliminary expert report shared by Özel as ‘a pirated text’ , Tunç stated: "Attempting to mislead the public and influence the investigation by sharing a pirated text that has no official status and was not submitted to the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation, is a great act of irresponsibility and heartlessness." he declared.
CHP Deputy Chair responsible for the Ministry of Justice, Gökçe Gökçen, responded to Minister Tunç's statement by saying, “Do not look too far for irresponsibility and heartlessness." she replied.
'THE REAL PRELIMINARY EXPERT REPORT'
Gökçen's statement on the matter is as follows:
"Immediately after the death of 78 people, before the funerals were even held, you began a perception management campaign. Instead of answering a very simple question and being held accountable to our people who lost their families, you said, 'We will answer within 10 days.' Everyone knew that you needed time to cover up the faults of your own people, especially the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The Minister of Labor and Social Security, who should have been held accountable for the workers who lost their lives, was nowhere to be found.
Now, you are engaged in a new operation by calling the real preliminary expert report 'pirated.' Let no one forget. This time, you will not be able to obscure the truth or shift your responsibility onto others through perception management.
Stop the empty words and mudslinging at the opposition, and account for the lives we have lost.”
Do not look too far for irresponsibility and heartlessness. @yilmaztunc
