Holding an evaluation meeting with village and neighborhood headmen in the Susuz district of Kars, Alp said, "In our Susuz district, if students in village schools attend İmam Hatip middle schools, they are sent to their schools via state-funded busing and shuttle services. However, when our students prefer middle schools other than İmam Hatip, they are unfortunately deprived of shuttle services. They are being denied their requests for transportation with the response: 'We will provide a shuttle if you choose İmam Hatip schools'."
Addressing Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, CHP's Alp stated, "Our children are being forced to choose İmam Hatip middle schools. We are opposing this practice of forcibly sending our children to İmam Hatip schools from Kars."
