CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, who warns citizens through his documented social media posts and makes statements regarding the tolling steps the AKP plans to take, addressed Istanbulites in his latest post.

Starting his remarks with, "Attention all Istanbulites and those passing through Istanbul!" Yavuzyılmaz shared the following:

"Very soon, the TEM Highway will no longer be free; it will be a toll road!

We have determined that there is a plan to privatize the O-2, Istanbul's 2nd Ring Road, which passes through the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and is currently operated by the public for free, for a period of 25 years.

Based on the toll tariffs of highways built under the Build-Operate-Transfer model;

I am sharing the vehicle toll tariff that will be applied on the Istanbul 2nd Ring Road after it is privatized:

Mahmutbey West-Mahmutbey East: 9 TL

Mahmutbey East-Metris: 12 TL

Metris-Hasdal: 31 TL

Hasdal-Levent: 17 TL

Levent-FSM Bridge: 9 TL

FSM Bridge-Kavacık: 7 TL

Kavacık-Şile Junction: 26 TL

Şile Junction-Çamlıca: 13 TL

A total of 38 km including connecting roads

Number of vehicle crossings on the Istanbul 2nd Ring Road in 2025: 415 million 876 thousand

If the privatization of the Istanbul 2nd Ring Road, which was also included in the 2010 privatization package, takes place as of 2026,

When the company operates these highways with the average vehicle toll per kilometer of highways built under the Build-Operate-Transfer model;

The toll the company will collect from citizens in one year will be at least 6 billion 64  million Lira.

The amount that will enter the companies' coffers during the 25-year privatization process: 151 billion Lira

At the current exchange rate, at least 3 billion 375 million Dollars

This is not called a privatization plan; it is the AKP's plan to fleece the citizens to provide election financing!

This plan is a plan to collect lump-sum money in advance before the general elections!"
