CHP's 'do not leave Parliament' protest continues: We will continue to defend

CHP Group DeputyChairman Ali Mahir Başarır, regarding the protest initiated by CHP deputies to raise the minimum wage to 39,000 liras and the lowestpensionto this level,stated that the'do not leave Parliament' protestis continuing. on its third day, calling out to the government, "We will continue to complain about you to Turkey, to the pensioners, and to the public, and to expose you. We will continue tokeep our watch anddefend the rights of pensioners here. As of now, we are in Parliament, and we will continue to be in Parliament," he said.

CHP Group DeputyChairman Ali Mahir Başarır and the accompanying deputies madestatementsregarding the protest they initiated in the General Assembly.

Başarır stated the following:

"As of now, our vigil for our retirees at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey continues. There is still no word from the AKP group or the party. We are calling out once again: Do not wait for Thursday. Do not wait for next week.

Give a raise at least equal to the minimum wage."do it. On Tuesdaywe should do what is necessaryall together. But if you are not going to do it, if you are going to insist on a raise like 1,000 liras, we are here.
