CHP's Yavuzyılmaz shares: 4 million electricity subscribers in 4 cities made customers of America

CHP Zonguldak Deputy Deniz Yavuzyılmaz claimed in a post titled "Facts that the AK Party tries to hide from the attention of citizens" that 4 million electricity subscribers in 4 cities have been made customers of America.

CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Zonguldak Deputy Deniz Yavuzyılmaz has added a new one to his statements made via social media.

In his post titled "Facts that the AK Party tries to hide from the attention of citizens," Yavuzyılmaz stated that 4 million electricity subscribers living in Bursa, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, and Yalova have been made dependent on America.

"THEY SAID IF ANYONE CAN DO IT, THE AK PARTY CAN"

Yavuzyılmaz explained this process as follows:

"Within the scope of privatizations carried out by the AK Party;

Limak won the privatization tender for the publicly owned Uludağ Electricity Distribution Inc. in 2010.

In the same year, the privatization transfer was made to the joint company of Limak-Kolin-Cengiz.

7 years later, all of Kolin and Cengiz's shares were sold to Limak.

Thus, Limak connected 4 million subscribers to itself, and 5 years later, it sold the distribution company to the British investment fund Actis.

The British Actis then sold the distribution company to the American company General Atlantic in 2024.

The Competition Authority approved this sale on February 6, 2025.

Thus, 4 million electricity subscribers were made customers first of crony companies, then of England, and finally of America.

They said if anyone can do it, the AK Party can;

They have collectively turned the citizens of our country into debtors, customers, and subscribers of foreign countries!"
