CHP's Yücel reacts to Minister Tunç: 'So only you will speak, is that it?'

Yücel criticized Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç over his stance toward TÜSİAD, stating, "We are facing systematic lawlessness. The AKP is doing everything to drag the country into a bottomless darkness."

CHP Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel expressed his reaction to the detentions and investigations on his social media account.

In his statement, where he tagged Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç and TÜSİAD, Yücel included the following remarks:

"We are facing systematic lawlessness. The AKP is doing everything to drag the country into a bottomless darkness.

Driven by a thirst for power and unprecedented pressure, they are using the judiciary as a cudgel to silence everyone one by one, from politicians to journalists, from artists to businesspeople.

Journalists won't speak, elected politicians won't speak, civil society won't speak; only you will speak, is that it?

And you will call this 'democracy, the rule of law, judicial independence, and freedom of expression,' is that it? No matter what you do, this dark era of tyranny will come to an end. Peace, tranquility, democracy, and justice will come to this country."
