CHP town head dismissed after being caught producing drugs in Bilecik
Osman K., the CHP Bayırköy Town Head who was detained in a drug operation conducted by the gendarmerie in Bilecik, has been dismissed from his post.

Özcan Bican has been appointed to replace Osman K., the CHP Bayırköy Town Head, who was dismissed after being found to be producing drugs on Treasury land in Bilecik.
The incident occurred last Saturday in the town of Bayırköy, which is connected to the center of Bilecik. Teams from the Bilecik Provincial Gendarmerie Command took action upon receiving intelligence that illegal cannabis cultivation was taking place on Treasury land in the town of Bayırköy.
As the gendarmerie teams arrived at the scene, they caught Osman K., who was later identified as the CHP Bayırköy Town Head, red-handed while he was tending to and caring for 3 cannabis plants planted on the land. They also found a quantity of cannabis left to dry on his father's land.
During the search conducted on the individual, 35 grams of cannabis, 2 grams of cannabis seeds, and 1 gram of methamphetamine were seized, and one item known as a pipe, used as a drug consumption apparatus, was confiscated.
CHP HELD AN EMERGENCY MEETING
Following the events, the CHP Bilecik Central District Presidency held an emergency meeting on the same day. Osman K. was dismissed from his post, and Özcan Bican was appointed in his place.
