According to information obtained from security sources, Aslan, who was determined to have actively participated in actions and events carried out on behalf of the separatist terrorist organization in Australia, had been under surveillance by MIT for a long time.
It was learned that Aslan, who was in contact with high-level members of the organization, was going to travel from Istanbul Airport to Australia.
Çiğdem Aslan was captured in a joint operation conducted by MIT and the Counter-Terrorism Branch (TEM) of the Istanbul Police Department.
The PKK/KCK member Aslan was arrested by the court to which she was referred and sent to prison.
