In a written statement issued by the CHP, it was stated that the party has published a comprehensive circular aimed at safeguarding the legacy of the families of martyrs and veterans and meeting their needs more effectively.
According to the circular sent under the instruction of CHP leader Özgür Özel, plans are in place to establish special units within provincial and district organizations to attend to the families of martyrs and veterans.
In this context, it is proposed that a "Directorate for Families of Martyrs and Veterans" be established in metropolitan and provincial municipalities, and that desks with the same name be created in district municipalities.
The circular includes recommendations such as providing transportation support, psychological assistance, and access to social clubs/rest facilities and guesthouses for the families of martyrs and veterans.
Yankı Bağcıoğlu, the CHP deputy chairman responsible for national defense policies, who made a statement on the matter, reported that the circular they prepared aims to make the efforts of provincial and district organizations and municipalities more coordinated and effective in this regard.
Bağcıoğlu stated, "The families of our martyrs and our veterans are a trust for our entire society. Protecting this trust is a debt of loyalty and a duty for all of us. Our most important goal is to make our organizations and municipalities feel sincerely by their side in order to support their participation in social life and to keep their morale and motivation high."
