Citizens revolt: Anyone who enters this street finds themselves on the ground
Shopkeepers on a street in the Osmangazi district of Bursa have requested that municipal authorities fix a defect in the asphalt that has caused several pedestrians to fall due to the height difference between a patched section and the road level.

In Eceler Street in the Hocaalizade neighborhood, after bollards were installed at the junction where the sidewalk meets the road used by vehicles, the area was patched with asphalt, leaving this section several centimeters below the road level.
Some pedestrians using this part of the road, either because vehicles were parked on the sidewalk or for other reasons, have lost their balance and fallen while walking with bags in their hands or while distracted by their mobile phones.
It has been learned that Osmangazi Municipality teams conducted an inspection in the area after videos of the pedestrians, captured by a nearby business's security camera, spread on social media.
Shopkeeper Dursun Coşkun stated that although the height difference is not extreme, some people trip and fall there.
Explaining that some people do not pay attention while walking on the street because they are busy with their phones or chatting with those next to them, Coşkun said, "We have seen 3 people fall so far. As shopkeepers here, we immediately help those people. If they have any bleeding, we try to provide cotton, cologne, and water. This is our humanitarian duty, but it would be very good for us if this place were repaired as soon as possible. Hopefully, the authorities will deal with this place immediately."
Other business owners in the same area also expressed that if pedestrians were to fall while vehicles were passing, it could lead to worse consequences, and they requested that the problem be resolved in a short time.
