Claim shaking the political corridors: Venue and date set for terrorist organization PKK's dissolution congress

It has been claimed that the venue and date for the dissolution congress of the terrorist organization PKK, for which terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan has issued a call to lay down arms and dissolve during the new peace process, have been determined.

The DEM Party Imralı Delegation, which has been conducting meetings with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan as part of the new peace process—architected by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and referred to by the government as a 'Terror-Free Turkey'—recently visited AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Palace.

As contact was established between the DEM Party and Erdoğan for the first time in 13 years, the meeting led to comments that a 'critical threshold' had been crossed in the new peace process.

The DEM Party will meet with Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç in the coming days, and legal regulations regarding the process will be put on the table.

On the other hand, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli stated in a written declaration yesterday: "The most reasonable and just option is for the PKK to convene its congress, complete the organizational dissolution process in accordance with the February 27 Imralı call, and surrender its weapons to the Republic of Turkey."

While question marks remain regarding the terrorist organization PKK's disarmament and dissolution congress, Serbestiyet columnist Yıldıray Oğur brought a striking claim to the agenda.

Providing a venue and date for the terrorist organization's dissolution congress, Oğur stated, "The PKK's dissolution congress will likely be held this weekend. The strongest possibility is Sunday, April 27."

The relevant part of Yıldıray Oğur's article is as follows:

"Now everyone is waiting for the PKK's self-dissolution congress at the end of April.

How do we know this?

Because AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik announced that they expect good news at the end of April.

DEM co-chair Bakırhan also said that 'we will have a different agenda next Tuesday.'

The PKK's dissolution congress will likely be held this weekend.

The strongest possibility is Sunday, April 27.

It will likely be held not in the caves in Qandil, but in a residential area in Sulaymaniyah.

And we will never hear the announcement of the congress date due to security reasons.

We will hear the news that the congress has been held.

Things seem to be going well in the resolution process."
