One of the most notable reactions to this practice took place in Antalya. During a ceremony held at Bileydi Anatolian High School, students protested the decision with applause.
While students in the schoolyard continued their protest during the ceremony, a student pulled Erdoğan's poster inside through a classroom window. By folding the poster, the student made the image on it invisible.
PENALTY DRAWS REACTION
The footage, which spread rapidly on social media, caused a major stir. According to a report in Sözcü, it is alleged that the student who removed the poster was referred to the disciplinary board by the school administration and received a suspension.
It is claimed that school principal Gökmen Güler described the student's behavior as "disrespectful" and requested that disciplinary action be taken.
