Claims of a meeting between Kılıçdaroğlu and Özel: Preparations for a new manifesto reflect in political circles

As discussions over the party congress and internal tensions continue within the CHP, claims have emerged that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Özgür Özel may come together soon.

Journalist Aytunç Erkin, speaking on a TV100 broadcast, shared information he obtained from Kılıçdaroğlu's camp, stating that the former CHP leader is preparing a new manifesto. Erkin noted that this text will outline a “new roadmap for Turkey and the world.”

Kılıçdaroğlu will soon announce a new manifesto, similar to the Second Century Manifesto. A new roadmap for Turkey and the world will be drawn. Be open to surprises in the coming period. Özgür Özel and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu may come together and talk.

In political circles, it is suggested that if no move for a party congress is made by July 20, Özgür Özel might consider the option of a new party. It is stated that Kılıçdaroğlu's team is pointing to September for the congress.

Another topic on the agenda is the lifting of parliamentary immunities in 2016 and the arrest of former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş. Kılıçdaroğlu expressed that he does not find it right to generate politics through this debate.

I do not find it right to settle scores through Mr. Demirtaş due to a sentence I used in a television program. No one should try to derive politics from this. Taking into account the decisions of the ECHR and the Constitutional Court, Selahattin Demirtaş should be released immediately and regain his freedom; any debate outside of this is an attempt to create an artificial agenda and is harmful to Mr. Demirtaş.
