Journalist Barış Yarkadaş announced in a post on his social media account that a portrait of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş is displayed at the headquarters of the Anadolu Birliği Partisi in Dikmen, Ankara. Yarkadaş also stated that he had spoken with Anadolu Birliği Partisi Chairman Bedri Yalçın and claimed that Yalçın would sign a protocol with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

In his post, Yarkadaş noted that Bedri Yalçın is known for his closeness to Mansur Yavaş and drew attention to the presence of Yavaş's portrait in the party building.

In his post, Yarkadaş stated, "The Anadolu Birliği Partisi, which Özgür Özel and Ekrem İmamoğlu will also attend, has hung a portrait of ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş at its headquarters in Dikmen, Ankara. I spoke with ABP Chairman Bedri Yalçın on Friday. Yalçın had said, 'We will sign the protocol when Özgür Özel returns from Denizli.' It seems that Bedri Yalçın, known for his closeness to Mansur Yavaş, hanging Yavaş's portrait will bring new debates along with it."

REACTION FROM BELTAŞ EXECUTIVE

Following Yarkadaş's post, Alparslan Yılmaz, Deputy General Manager of BELTAŞ AŞ, a subsidiary of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, made a statement on his social media account. Yılmaz reacted to Yarkadaş's post, stating that the portrait in question was not newly hung.

“ANYONE WHO SAW THAT PICTURE WOULD HAVE SAID THIS”

Alparslan Yılmaz stated the following in his explanation:

"Mr. Barış, if you had asked any citizen living in that area, they would have told you that the picture has been hanging there for 3 years. Please do not make Mansur Yavaş a tool for these types of political rivalries of yours; there is nothing for you to gain here."

In his post, Yılmaz stated that the portrait at the Anadolu Birliği Partisi Headquarters has been in the same place for three years.
