The repercussions of the resignations of on-air personalities Seda Selek, Sorel Dağıstanlı, Buket Güler, Gözde Şeker, and Remziye Demirkol from Halk TV continue.
The journalists, who were the faces of the channel, left due to reasons such as the lack of 212 press insurance and the revocation of their transportation benefits.
Following these developments, the channel's owner, Cafer Mahiroğlu, apologized during a live broadcast on Halk TV, stating, "I experienced an emotional delusion." It is claimed that Cafer Mahiroğlu, who also remarked that "Halk TV has been under economic isolation for years," has reached an agreement with İsmail Küçükkaya.
According to a report by Notbir, it is stated that Küçükkaya, who had previously left Halk TV to join the screens of TV100, has returned to his former channel after parting ways with TV100. An official announcement regarding which program Küçükkaya will host is expected to be made in the coming days.
MAHİROĞLU HAD STATED, "HALK TV IS UNDER ECONOMIC ISOLATION"
Cafer Mahiroğlu had made the following statement regarding the resignations at Halk TV: "In a place where rent is 60,000 to 70,000 liras, what we are discussing has no reality. I cannot say that we provide our friends with a salary that allows them to live very comfortably. Isn't the struggle we are waging already about this? Halk TV has been under economic isolation for years. We are in a serious bottleneck. My accounts are open. If I am taking a monthly salary from my income, I will not take it; I will give it to you. If we are living under Turkey's conditions, I am not the target of these difficulties. When you look at other television channels, what difference do they have from us?"
