Closed session to be held in the Turkish Parliament today regarding Israel
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) will convene in a closed session today to discuss Israel's attacks and recent developments in the Middle East. Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler will brief the General Assembly. Journalists will be removed during the proceedings, and the minutes and summaries of the closed session will be eligible for publication after 10 years.

The minutes and summaries of the closed session will be eligible for publication after 10 years. Following the briefing, the General Assembly will continue to discuss the items on its agenda in an open session.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement that "Israel also has Turkey in its sights," the CHP had requested that a closed-door meeting be held in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
In response to a question on the subject during a television broadcast, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş stated that, in line with a request received from Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler would brief the TBMM General Assembly on Tuesday, October 8. Kurtulmuş had indicated that the discussions could be held in a closed session in accordance with requests from political parties.
