205 kilograms and 940 grams of cocaine were seized in five suitcases inside a vehicle with diplomatic plates stopped at the Kapitan Andreevo Border Crossing. Three suspects were detained in the operation, and it was announced that the street value of the seized narcotics is 37 million leva.

In an operation carried out on July 18 at the Bulgaria-Turkey border, a large quantity of cocaine was seized in a vehicle with diplomatic plates. As part of the 'Orient Express' operation launched by Bulgarian police, the SUV with diplomatic plates, driven by Bulgarian national D.H., was placed under surveillance after entering Bulgaria from the Serbian border.
SUSPECTS WITH DIPLOMATIC PASSPORTS ALSO APPREHENDED
The vehicle also contained Democratic Republic of the Congo citizen Zh.M. (40) and Belgian citizen D.A. (54), born in the Republic of the Congo, both of whom held diplomatic passports. When the SUV reached the Kapitan Andreevo Border Crossing to enter Turkey, it was subjected to a detailed search accompanied by the narcotics dog 'Raya'.
205 KILOGRAMS OF COCAINE IN SUITCASES
When an unusual density was detected in the suitcases in the vehicle's trunk during an X-ray scan, the suitcases were checked one by one. The search resulted in the seizure of a total of 205 kilograms and 940 grams of cocaine in 179 packages. It was reported that the market value of this massive amount of cocaine is approximately 37 million leva.
3 SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY, INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
The 3 suspects who were in the vehicle have been detained in connection with the incident. An official investigation has been launched against the three suspects on the grounds of "attempting to transport high-risk narcotic substances across the country's border from Bulgaria to Turkey without proper authorization."
