Hüsamettin Cindoruk, the founder of the National Center and the 17th Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, passed away on Saturday at the age of 92 in the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Cindoruk's funeral prayer was held today at Teşvikiye Mosque.
KILIÇDAROĞLU BYPASSED ÖZEL
It was noted that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who attended the funeral ceremony, did not shake hands with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel as he passed by him.
In Ankara political circles, it is being discussed that the final decision in the lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the congress where Özgür Özel was elected chairman could be announced this week. The distant image between Kılıçdaroğlu and Özel also became a topic of discussion on social media.
In media outlets close to the government, recent reports have suggested that the court could rule in favor of canceling the congress in the "absolute nullity" lawsuit, and in that case, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu could return to the chairmanship.
CHATTED WITH GÜRSEL TEKİN
It was observed that Kılıçdaroğlu, who did not greet Özgür Özel at the ceremony, greeted Gürsel Tekin, who was brought in as a "trustee" to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, and chatted with him for a while.
