A collapse occurred at a coal mine in the Çayırhan neighborhood of Ankara's Nallıhan district. The injured mine workers were taken to Beypazarı State Hospital.

FIRST STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE!

In a statement regarding the collapse, the Ankara Governor's Office noted the following:

"Due to air pressure caused by a ground collapse at the 'K' coal mine site located in the Hırkatepe neighborhood of our Beypazarı district, 15 of our mine workers working in a safe zone were slightly injured. 3 of our workers are under observation at the hospital."

Beypazarı District Governor Vedat Yılmaz and Mayor Tuncer Kaplan visited the injured who were taken to Beypazarı State Hospital.

In his statement, Yılmaz mentioned that they received information that the workers were injured as a result of being thrown around due to air pressure, stating, "They are under observation against risks such as internal bleeding and fractures. 15 of our workers were injured."

Stating that some of the workers were referred to Ankara for further examination, Yılmaz said, "Our other workers are here. We visited them together with our Mayor; their general condition is good, they will be discharged today."

Some of the workers from the mine arrived in front of the hospital following the incident.

One of the workers, Davut Kaya, said that 3 of his friends who were injured as a result of the air pressure were referred to Ankara.
