Comedian Özgür Turhan made a reference to former Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu regarding "drugs" during one of his shows.

Sharing a clip from his show titled Tylolhot on his X (Twitter) account, Turhan said, "I don't think Tylolhot has any connection to drugs, because I've never seen a photo of it with Süleyman Soylu."

Stating that timing is very important in comedy, Turhan added, "If I had done this three months ago, I would have been in jail."

"SO-CALLED COMEDIAN OR FETODYEN..."

Süleyman Soylu made a post on his social media account following this joke and targeted Turhan without naming him, using the following expressions:

"Throughout my life, I have been an anti-imperialist due to my loyalty to my country and my nation, and I am proud of it. Let me reiterate my stance, which causes attacks from those who try to achieve results through a so-called comedian or fetodyen—whose political affiliation is clear—and who try to intimidate by attacking, while watching all the slanders made against the state, the police, the gendarmerie, and us for months;

America is a murderer in Gaza. Israel is a murderer in Gaza. The PKK-PYD are terrorists. Their collaborators are also terrorists. If I were to complain about this person as a comedian; I would be doing an injustice to Nejat Uygur, Halit Akçatepe, and Kemal Sunal. I wish him healing."
