Exactly 10 years have passed since the public stood against the treacherous coup attempt on July 15, 2016. The General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House has minted a specially designed 5-lira commemorative coin to mark the 10th anniversary of this historic turning point.

The new commemorative coin was produced while maintaining the physical characteristics of the standard 5-lira coin we use in daily life. The visual design of the coin was shaped as follows:

On the obverse side of the coin, there is a "July 15 10th Year" logo prepared specifically for this day. Around the logo, the phrase "Democracy and National Unity Day" is inscribed.

On the reverse side of the coin, the current visual design of the 5-lira coin currently in circulation has been preserved exactly as it is.
