Comment on the 'Fool' case from İmamoğlu's campaign director: 'I wish they would convict him, it would only add to his strength'

Necati Özkan, campaign director for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and a political communications expert, spoke about the "fool case," in which İmamoğlu is being tried on allegations of insulting members of the Supreme Election Council (YSK).

According to a report by T24, Özkan, who was a speaker at the presentation of Veri Poll Research's "IMM Services Satisfaction Survey," stated, "Let them reach a verdict in the fool case; they will only add to Ekrem Bey's strength. I pray every day that they do it. I wish they would." Özkan described the case as "completely hollow."

'İMAMOĞLU IS THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE FOR TURKEY'

In his speech at the panel, Özkan touched upon the difficult process Turkey is going through and argued that Ekrem İmamoğlu is the strongest leader for change in the country.

Stating, "Turkey has become poorer than ever in its history, and the middle class has disappeared. There is no one else to lead this country out of this situation," Özkan continued:

"There are, of course, other mayors and names, but as a visionary leader who will carry this country forward, there is no alternative to İmamoğlu. With his personality and capacity, Ekrem Bey is the most important hope for Turkey to emerge from this darkness."

NO EXPECTATION OF EARLY ELECTIONS

Responding to a question about early elections, Necati Özkan stated that the regime would use all its resources to the fullest. Özkan said, "The Turkish economy will worsen further, but since the regime is aware of the risks, it will not go to early elections until the very last minute." He also pointed out that a legal path must be found for President Erdoğan to run for office again.

'İMAMOĞLU IS A ROCKSTAR, THE LEADER OF CHANGE'

Emphasizing Ekrem İmamoğlu's leadership qualities, Özkan said, "Ekrem Bey is a very special leader. With the innovations he made in municipal management and the change he initiated, he also started a major transformation within the CHP. We must all support İmamoğlu's candidacy in a possible election."

THE 'FOOL' CASE ADDS STRENGTH

Evaluating the case that carries the risk of a political ban for İmamoğlu, Özkan concluded his remarks as follows:

"Some things cannot be stopped by political engineering. Just as Ekrem Bey won by a large margin in the Istanbul elections, this case will only add to his strength. We will all see together what kind of change Turkey will experience in such a situation."
