Comments flood in for Mehmet Akif Ersoy's ex-wife: 'You're well rid of him'

Following the arrest of Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy and the widespread public reaction to the allegations in the investigation file, eyes have turned to Ersoy's ex-wife, Pınar Erbaş.

Numerous comments were left on Erbaş's social media accounts.

ARREST DECISION AND ALLEGATIONS IN THE FILE

Mehmet Akif Ersoy and three others were detained as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Following the investigation, Ersoy and the other suspects were arrested by the duty magistrate judge.

The prosecutor's referral document contained striking allegations against the suspects. The document stated that Ersoy and those with him:

Provided facilities for drug use in their own residences,

Supplied drugs to women who came to the house,

And listed allegations that Ersoy "directed women to have relations with people in his circle and obtained sectoral and financial gain from this situation."

Following the revelations about Ersoy, his ex-wife Pınar Erbaş also became a topic of public discussion. While it is known that the couple was married for only 8 months, many users left comments on Erbaş's social media posts.
