Communication issues following the Istanbul earthquake: Important warning from USOM

The National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM) stated that there is congestion in communication networks following the earthquake centered in the Silivri district of Istanbul, noting that, "In such situations, it is of great importance to prefer internet-based calling applications to ensure communication is not disrupted."

In a statement made on its social media account, the National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM) extended its best wishes to citizens affected by the earthquake in Istanbul and recorded the following:

"It is observed that there is congestion in communication networks following the Istanbul-Silivri centered earthquake. In such situations, it is of great importance to prefer internet-based calling applications to ensure communication is not disrupted."
