Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran stated regarding Israel's launch of a ground operation into Gaza, "It is an obligation for all responsible mechanisms, primarily the UN Security Council, to take immediate action, ensure a ceasefire, and hold Israel accountable before international law for the crimes it has committed."

In his post, Duran noted that the new wave of attacks launched by Israel in Gaza is a bloody phase of the genocide crimes committed by the Netanyahu government.

Emphasizing that the attacks disregard the fundamental principles of international law and add a new dimension to the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel, Duran pointed out that the attacks, which have led to the massacre of thousands of Palestinians and the displacement of hundreds of thousands, have brought the humanitarian tragedy to an unbearable point. Duran stated the following:

"There are no more excuses left for the international community. It is an obligation for all responsible mechanisms, primarily the UN Security Council, to take immediate action, ensure a ceasefire, and hold Israel accountable before international law for the crimes it has committed. As Turkey, under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will never view this oppression as legitimate, we will not accept its normalization, and we will support all initiatives taken to ensure it is held to account.

The words directed at our President by Netanyahu, who is being tried by international courts for the war crimes he has committed and who has been condemned in the conscience of humanity for the humanitarian tragedy he has caused, regarding the ancient city of Jerusalem, which is the common heritage of humanity, have no validity. Throughout history, Jerusalem has never bowed to Crusader invaders or imperialist powers. Whoever has forcibly seized this city and oppressed its people, or attacked its mosques and churches, has become a detail remembered with a curse in the long history of Jerusalem. This blessed city has been the scene of the greatest defeat for many ambitious and arrogant characters who said 'it is only mine.' The overshadowing of the sanctity and spirituality of Jerusalem with occupation policies can never be accepted. We will continue to stand by the just cause of our brothers until an independent and fully sovereign State of Palestine, based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, is established."
