Duran stated, "We welcome the decision taken by 12 countries, led by the United Kingdom, France, and Canada, against commercial and economic activities linked to illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

This decision is of great importance in showing that practices that disregard international law in the occupied Palestinian territories do not go unanswered.

The international community must strengthen its will in this direction and increase concrete steps against Israel's unlawful policies. Showing the same determination in the face of the ongoing destruction and humanitarian tragedy in Gaza is now an unavoidable responsibility.
