Communications Director Fahrettin Altun reacts to CHP

Communications Director Fahrettin Altun stated, ''We are going through a period in which critical developments are taking place in our region and in world politics. Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is putting up a great struggle with his leadership capacity and state experience to ensure that our country emerges from this process in the strongest possible way.

This struggle is clearly seen in the intense pace and contacts of our President, which have continued during the blessed month of Ramadan. Our President is working day and night, continuing his efforts for our dear Nation and our beautiful Turkey in a determined and uninterrupted manner.

On the other hand, the “main opposition party” insists on remaining indifferent to developments in the world and our region, is busy with its own internal conflicts every day, and tries to portray its own crises as if they were the country's issues. Finally, the “main opposition party” continues to target our President and provoke our people against state institutions by using a years-long judicial process carried out by the state's independent judicial bodies as an excuse. Instead of giving satisfactory answers to the serious allegations of judicial authorities, the attempt to influence judicial processes by making calls for violence directed at the streets is futile.

Turkey will not fall for this game, will not surrender to the streets, and the democratic legal order will be protected at all costs. The aforementioned political circles should emerge from the political burnout syndrome they have fallen into as soon as possible and stop blaming our government and our country for the processes triggered by their own party members due to the internal crises they are experiencing. All forms of violence are bad.

Democracy is always our compass. Our state has the power to distinguish between the guilty and the innocent, and our nation has the wisdom and foresight to best appreciate and analyze what is happening.''
