Cumhuriyet newspaper columnist Barış Terkoğlu had previously mentioned that the request to shut down troll accounts operating on social media on behalf of the Adnan Oktar Armed Criminal Organization had created a crisis within the judiciary, and that according to reports from behind the scenes, the Ministry of Justice had been complained about to the Presidency.

Regarding the aforementioned report by Terkoğlu, the Presidential Communications Directorate had issued a statement saying, "The allegations are completely untrue."

It came as a surprise that the requests for access blocking orders against certain accounts, filed by victims of the organization through their lawyers Eser Çömlekçioğlu and Sena Akkaya Avvuran, were accepted.

The lawyers' request was accepted by the Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace.
