Compared to Özgür Özel: Striking Erdoğan response from MHP voters

MetroPOLL Research's June 2026 survey revealed voter evaluations regarding the job performance of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

MHP VOTERS' RESPONSES DREW ATTENTION

According to the report by Halk TV, participants in the study were asked, "Do you approve of the way President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performs his presidential duties?"

One of the prominent topics in the survey results was the responses given by MHP voters.

According to MetroPOLL's June 2026 research, the rate of those who approve of the way AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performs his duties was measured at 44.5 percent nationwide, while the rate of those who do not approve reached 51 percent.

While 60 percent of voters who stated they voted for the MHP in the May 14, 2023 Parliamentary General Election indicated they approve of the way AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performs his duties, 40 percent stated they do not approve.

While the support rate among AKP voters was recorded at 81.1 percent, 83.4 percent of CHP voters and 88.8 percent of İYİ Party voters stated they do not approve of the way AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performs his duties.

RESULTS REGARDING ÖZGÜR ÖZEL WERE ALSO SHARED

The research also evaluated the job performance of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel as the leader of the main opposition.

Accordingly, the rate of those who approve of the way Özel performs his duties was measured at 50.7 percent, while the rate of those who do not approve was 43.1 percent.

While 83.8 percent of CHP voters stated they support Özgür Özel's job performance, 29.5 percent of AKP voters and 32.3 percent of MHP voters also evaluated Özel's performance positively.
