A chain-reaction accident involving 7 vehicles, including 3 buses and a truck, occurred for reasons yet to be determined on the Istanbul-bound section of the North Marmara Motorway near Dağdibi.
According to initial reports, 10 citizens lost their lives and 57 citizens were injured in the accident.
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM İMAMOĞLU
IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu stated in a post on his social media account: “I have learned that 10 people have died and 54 people have been injured in the chain-reaction accident that occurred on the Sakarya section of the North Marmara Motorway. I wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives, offer my condolences to their families, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
