Condolence message from Minister Tekin for school principal İbrahim Oktugan who lost his life

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin published a condolence message for school principal İbrahim Oktugan, who lost his life after being shot by a student in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul. 

The following statements were included in Minister Tekin's social media post: 

"I learned with great sorrow of the passing of our colleague İbrahim Oktugan as a result of the heinous attack he was subjected to.

I condemn this tragic incident and pray for God's mercy upon our late educator İbrahim Oktugan; I wish patience for his family, students, colleagues, and parents. 

We will continue our efforts with determination to ensure that such tragic events, which have deeply affected us all, do not happen again and that educational environments become safer spaces."
