In a message shared on his social media account, Erdoğan stated the following:
"I am deeply saddened by the passing of our 24th Term AK Party Muğla Deputy Ali Boğa and our Sinop Ayancık District Youth Branch Organization President Mertcan Öztürk in two separate tragic accidents that occurred today.
I pray for God's mercy upon my esteemed colleagues and companions; I extend my condolences to their families, loved ones, and our entire AK Party organization. May the Almighty grant them a place in heaven."
