In the condolence message issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated, "We are saddened by the loss of life, injuries, and destruction caused by the forest fires that have been occurring in the Valparaiso region of Chile over the past few days.
We extend our condolences to the friendly people and government of Chile, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured and offer our sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives."
