Confessing Major reveals the organization's encrypted code system: 21 organization members exposed

In a FETÖ investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau, a confessing Air Medical Major Ömer T. explained in detail the "encrypted code" system the organization established for members to be recruited into the Air Force Command. Detained on May 14, 2024, Ömer T. provided significant information about the organization by benefiting from effective remorse provisions.

In his statement, Ömer T. noted that he told the organization member who contacted him during his middle school years that he wanted to attend military high school, and that he began preparing for exams in organization houses during this process. Stating that he met regularly with the person responsible for him after winning a spot at the military high school, Ömer T. conveyed that he met FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen during this period and was rewarded by him.

Explaining the organization's encrypted system for student recruitment, Ömer T. stated that a clandestine imam named Sami, whom he met in Bornova, İzmir, told him that a QR code system had been established on student identification cards. Explaining that this system determined student categories based on the last 3 digits of the barcode on exam entry documents, Ömer T. described the status of individuals coded as "positive" and "negative."

Ömer T. expressed that after this incident, he understood the power and danger of the organization and offered excuses to avoid accepting subsequent exam commission duties. The indictment prepared against him, requesting a prison sentence of 7 years and 6 months to 15 years for the crime of "being a member of an armed terrorist organization," has been accepted by the court. Within the scope of effective remorse, it was requested that 21 people known to be FETÖ members be exposed.
