Congratulations from İmamoğlu

Congratulatory messages are pouring in on social media for Özgür Özel, who was elected as the 8th Chairman of the Republican People's Party at the party's 38th Ordinary Congress.  Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who served as the Congress Chair, was among the first to congratulate Özel with a post on his X account.  

In his congratulatory message, İmamoğlu stated: "I congratulate Mr. Özgür Özel on being elected Chairman at the Republican People's Party 38th Ordinary Congress and thank everyone who contributed to the realization of the congress. Now it is Turkey's turn for change." 

On the other hand, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer also celebrated Özgür Özel's election as Chairman with a message shared on his social media account.
