"I congratulate Mr. Nuri Aslan, who has been elected as the Acting Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and wish him success in his new role.
We are all going through a test during these difficult days.
We believe that our Mayor Ekrem is innocent.
Against those who try to ignore the will of the people, the voice of justice will surely rise.
And when that day comes, Mayor Ekrem will return to his post as soon as possible."
