A fire has broken out at a construction site where workers are staying in the Tuzla district of Istanbul. Flames rose for an as-yet-undetermined reason from the containers used for accommodation on Kıvrım Street in the Aydınlı neighborhood.
FLAMES SPREAD RAPIDLY
The fire quickly spread to the adjacent container blocks where the workers were staying. Panic ensued in the surrounding area as the flames grew rapidly. It was reported that the fire showed a tendency to spread due to the containers being arranged in an adjacent layout.
NUMEROUS TEAMS DISPATCHED
Upon notification by those who noticed the flames, numerous fire brigade teams from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality were directed to the scene. Medical teams were also dispatched to the fire zone in case of potential injuries, and police teams were sent to ensure security measures.
INTERVENTION CONTINUES
The fire brigade's intervention in the blaze is ongoing. Measures have been increased in the area to prevent the flames from spreading to the surroundings.
