Controversial statements regarding retired citizens, whom the AKP government has forced to live a difficult economic life, continue.

While retirees, who are expected to make ends meet with money far below inflation rates, try to make their voices heard, new statements from the AKP front indicate that retirees could be dragged into an even worse situation.

While there are constant complaints about the costs of retirees, a similar statement came from AKP's Polat.

AKP Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK) member Fevzi Polat shared on social media, "It is unsustainable for 32 million workers to support 16 million retirees." Polat deleted the post following the backlash.
