Cooperation agreement signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of tourism

A cooperation agreement in the field of tourism was signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The agreement, signed by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board Fuad Naghiyev, aims to further develop tourism relations between the two countries.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy met with Chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board Fuad Naghiyev in Baku, where he arrived for the 29th United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference (COP29).

Stating that the successful organization of COP29 has made a global impact, Ersoy congratulated Azerbaijan.

Noting that tourism relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan have good potential, Ersoy stated that these relations should be further developed and mutual tourist visits should be increased.

Ersoy stated that Turkey has significant experience in the field of tourism and said, "We are ready to share our tourism experience with brotherly Azerbaijan."

Naghiyev also expressed their satisfaction with Turkey's high-level and intensive participation in COP29.

Thanking Ersoy for coming to Baku, Naghiyev stated, "We are ready to further advance our relations. We want to benefit from Turkey's tourism experience."

Following the meeting, Ersoy and Naghiyev signed the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Tourism between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
