According to the report by Rojda Altıntaş, A.H. was taken to intensive care following initial intervention. The cause of the incident is not yet known.
'SUICIDE ATTEMPT' CLAIM
Rostem Siyahtaş from the Batman Bar Association stated in a brief statement regarding the incident on his social media account that they had received information that Judge A.H. had attempted suicide. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE
The statement from the Ministry of Justice is as follows:
“Council of State Rapporteur Judge A.H. attempted suicide with his licensed firearm in a hotel room in Mardin and was intervened by 112 Emergency Service teams and transferred to Mardin Research Hospital. His life remains in danger.
News reports presented as an armed attack are not true.”
