Court of Accounts President determined by election in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey
Incumbent President Metin Yener has been re-elected as the President of the Court of Accounts following an election held in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Metin Yener, who received 272 votes in the election held at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), has been re-elected as the President of the Court of Accounts.
The General Assembly of the TBMM determined the new President of the Court of Accounts through a secret ballot held today.
Incumbent Court of Accounts President Metin Yener and Bahtiyar Sazlık, Budget General Manager of the Presidency's Strategy and Budget Directorate, competed for the presidency.
With the election held, Yener once again became the President of the Court of Accounts.
A PERSON CAN BE ELECTED AT MOST TWICE
According to the legislation, a person can be elected as the President of the Court of Accounts at most twice. The presidential term of office is five years.
The president whose term has expired continues to perform their duties until the new president takes office. Furthermore, the outgoing president can continue their service as a member of the Court of Accounts without the requirement of a vacant position, and the first vacant membership position is allocated to them.
