Cracks were detected in 28 houses and 1 barn following earthquakes that occurred in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari. The Hakkari Governor's Office issued a statement regarding the matter. Governor and Deputy Mayor Ali Çelik visited the Yüksekova District Governorate to attend the District Disaster and Emergency Coordination Board Meeting. During the meeting, Çelik received information from the heads of relevant institutions regarding the damage caused by the earthquakes and the ongoing efforts, stating that field surveys were conducted immediately following the earthquakes measuring 3.5, 4.4, and 4.5 in magnitude centered in Yüksekova.

Stating that damage assessment teams were dispatched to the region following reports received by the AFAD, Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Provincial Police Department, and Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams, Çelik noted the following:

"While no findings that could negatively affect general life were identified as a result of the survey, cracks were detected in 28 houses and 1 barn following the reports received, and a damage assessment commission has been assigned for these cracks. Our teams are working urgently against risks that may arise due to a possible aftershock, and necessary notifications and measures will be taken for our citizens."
